Online Modules for Coaches commencing their Community Coach Award.

These online modules are Pre-requisites to the CCA award.

  • NetballSmart - Growing Physical Capacity (online)

  • CCA 1 Player Centred Coaching Module (pre-work online component)

  • CCA 1 Defence Module - (Pre-work online component)

  • CCA 1 Attacking Fundamentals Module - (pre-work online component)

  • CCA 2 Mental Skills Module - (pre-work online component)

Tuesday 5th November

CCA 1 Skills Analysis

Purpose: to assist coaches in the analysis of skill execution utilizing observation and video (where available). This module focuses on skill analysis and the application of skill modification.

  • This module will help coaches to identify the Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) required to enhance performance and minimise injury risks in netball.
  • Understand the basic principles and processes of biomechanics.

CCA 1 Building Effective Relationships

Purpose: To provide coaches with the tools too understand & demonstrate behaviours that lead to effective relationships with all involved in the team environment.

In this Module coaches will:

  • Understand & demonstrate the principles of VARK.
  • Understand the principles of feedback & questioning & how to get the best from your players.

 ACC Netball Smart Warm Up

This link will direct you the Netball Smart warm up aimed at all levels of players. The research on this warm up is that it will reduce injuries by 40% when completed in its entirety 2-3 times a week. 

 Foundation Coaching - Coaches working with primary or intermediate aged children.

These are introductory or refresher workshops for all primary and intermediate coaches aimed at giving coaches a good understanding and basic knowledge of netball fundamentals skills.

 Community Coach Award (CCA 1 & 2) - Level 1(technical) and Level 2(tactical)

A NNZ Qualification aimed at coaches with two or more years coaching experience wanting to develop more specific areas of their coaching and working towards a recognised qualification.

 Performance Coaching - Must have CCA level 2 and be actively coaching in the performance area   (National /Premier Club)

To be eligible for this award you must meet the following criteria:

Applications can be downloaded from the NNZ website, must be endorsed by the Centre and then the Zone.

The Zone will interview the applicant and make recomendations to NNZ.
